The LT1 is a small-block engine. You can go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LT_engine to read about it. The engine runs at a higher compression by having a reverse-flow cooling system. The 1994 Camaro is a fourth generation Camaro. It had minor changes from the 1993 Camaro. Go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Camaro to see an image of the engine and read about the changes.
What kind of changes are you meaning? The blocks themselves should be the same. Different heads, intake, etc.
Right the heads were the difference, even with the impala ss, caprice lt1 ,it only had 260 horse, and the vette had 300hp but the b body cars had better flowing heads!
