2007 Ford Fusion won’t start

My 2007 Ford Fusion won’t start or crank
over. I thought it was the anti theft system
but thinking it may be the battery or
something. How do I fix this?

that happened to my 2007...on the push in button on the transmission stick there is a small sleeve around the button that will push in and cause the car not to start...I just took my finger and moved the sleeve out about a 1/4 of an inch and it cranked right up now I make sure im careful when I push the button in not to move the sleeve with it...I hope that helps
