I cannot get the key out of the iginition of my 2007 Buick Lucerne.

Asked by vhenegar Nov 21, 2014 at 04:33 PM about the 2007 Buick Lucerne V6 CXL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I cannot put the key in the N or P positions.  I cannot remove the key from the ignition.  The car will start and will run with no problem.  The gears work fine, but to keep from running the battery down, I have to unplug the cables from the battery at night.  Do you have any suggestios for getting the key into P or N so that I can remove it from the ignition?
