I just purchased a 2007 speed6

Wht is the 1st thing I should do, or can anyone tell me what kind of problems to look for

For me is it is using a good motor oil. I use Amsoil synthetic. I purchase my speedsix in 2007 and have no complains.

Motor mounts should be checked and most likely replaced. Stock ones are very weak. Change the oil with Amsoil to Rotella T6. Get online and join the mazdaspeed forum or use it as a guide for your own car. Learn about it and maintain it!
