My Child pulled in and put her Cavalier in Park, but when she went to move it, shifter moves, but wont change gears! Question is how do you access the linkage to repair the cable??

I feel this ets system is the culprit but am unsure how to diagnose it....it felt as if the trans was slipping...so removed and replaced with used trns....and still the same intermittent slip issue.....

i can't get the drive out of the spindle. theres not enough room to pull it through. do i have to unbolt the shock to let the spindle drop?
