Mine would not unscrew due to thread lock on threads. They are mounted on rubber bushings. I used a crowbar to pop them out, rubber bushings and all. If you are replacing that whole mechanism, you might have to put all new fasteners and bushings in or salvage the bushings and use nuts and bolts as fasteners.
