1994 Chevrolet Lumina

Asked by Courtney Jan 30, 2016 at 03:37 PM about the 1994 Chevrolet Lumina Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has been dying once it get warm, I can
always restart it but seems to stall out and back
fire at low speed or when turning.  I have replaced
the idle air control sensor, erg valve, starter,
alternator, fuel pump and filter. Hooked it up to
OBD 1 reader and scanned it. Even when it stalled
out it did not store a code. Also had starter control
panel taken off and checked that did not need to
be replaced and still works. Has anyone had
similar problems and can direct me to what the
problem may be?

I have a 91 lumina and part of your trouble is the obd1 system. kind of archaic to say the least. I would have your injectors tested, I had similar problems and I had 2 bad injectors. also, have your fuel pressure tested.
