most people do intake and exhaust first. if you want the factory warranty you could get the maszdaspeed's product. if not you have to save all the factory parts, so when things happened you have to change it back the factory spec. you could get a mazdaspeed catalog @ dealership or online...

Intake isn't useless, just kind of expensive for a small gain. I have Racing Beat intake, ram air, exhaust with the Agency Power dual resonated midpipe, great setup and Racing Beat makes nice quality stuff! You don't have to buy everything new either, check the for sale threads on rx8club.com, good deals there. I got my intake and the ram air like new for half the price. I have the Cobb Accessport also, nice to have, small gain unless you really know how to tune but you can display lots of live data and create you own custom maps. One other small thing I got that I love is the ipod adapter, but your 8 is new enough that might have been an option on the stereo.... great to run the ipod from the stereo controls.
