Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Altima S 2.5L, Wednesday I got an oil change, alignment and 4 new tires. Saturday I drove 100 miles to the zoo, about 20 miles from where we were going my car kicked itself out of cruise control and the speed started dropping, I was pressing the gas all the way to the floor but it wouldn't go faster than 60mph. I tried setting the CC again but it wouldn't accept it and would blink "set" when we were pulling off the high way, it started to struggle to go at al, like pushing 5mph was a struggle. I thought maybe they didn't put oil in the car when I had an oil change or maybe it was just being crazy. so we went ahead and went into the zoo around 130, we left at 6. the car still wouldn't go more than 5mp. we checked the oil, trans. fluid, brake fluid and everything else I could see. everything looked okay. we tried going and make it until a small hill... then nothing. it would not go up this tiny incline for nothing. I ended up calling AAA and having it towed. Ive had a few ppl tell me to change the spark plugs and air filter. would that cause this? I haven't done anything to it yet or had it looked at, im so aggravated by this whole thing lol

Would need more info to even start.... Did the engine seem to run rough? Did any warning lights come on....check engine light, traction control or any other warnings display?

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.

the check engine light is on but its been on for 2 months, i've had it checked by advanced auto and a mechanic and was told it was a transmission fluid sensor, which I do check once a month just to be sure its still full. the car starts fine. it starts right up, its just really slow. it reverses fine. no other lights show.

Just with the info you gave first thing I will check is if the gas pedal is loose not firm like before .
