http://www.nissanproblems.com/problems/transmission.shtml ..You REALLY need to read that page. It explains a lot. Nissan has extended the warranty for their transmissions in those trucks to 8 years/ 80,000 miles and beyond, even higher mileage with a pro-rated co-pay. That site explains your rights, resulting from a class-action law suit

I have read this page, but the warranty has me paying 2500 out of pocket because of mileage, if I replace this radiator myself it would save me a lot of money if I was certain this preventive measure would work.
If your rad is original and hasn't failed yet get a separate trans cooler installed and totally bypass the radiator to save your transmission. They will mix coolant and trans oil and ruin transmission.
No it will not save it a friend did it b4 it all happend thinking it would save the tranny what it did was only give it more time months later the tranny did go out save ur money if u want to save it . My suggestions is to put in a new transmission with the radiator. Save ur money thats the best thing to do. Because if u do that ur gona loose money n still need a new transmission at the end of it .
