When I turn the key to start my car it turns over right away but doesn't catch to start right away. This is only in morning or after work when it sat all day in cold. Is this the battery going bad?

No,No ... The battery is the last thing it could be. Does it eventually start?
In cold weather there's a device called a "Cold start sensor" that sends information to your cars computer. Most are located in the coolant system but they can be anywhere a temperature can be collected. There are many things that could effect cold weather starting but I always start with the most likely first
