Question type: Maintenance & Repair

hi everyone.  let me first start off by saying that I'm
pretty well mechanically inclined and used to work
on cars on the regular so all the normal things you
check like tire pressure and same size tires on the
car aren't issues. my 07 nissan murano was fine
for a while but when i bought it , it always kinda felt
like the diff's were locked up a little when you turn
very tight turners when going forward or reversing
but now its 100% skipping like a old school 4×4
when the hubs are locked. the lock button is not
on, it does illuminate when you push the switch
and turns off but its still without a doubt locked
and its going to if not already break something
expensive. my question is how do i manually
disengage the lock? i cant find any info on this info,
its very frustrating cause even if i just unplug the
wires on the rear diff that's not going to necessarily
unlock the front as well or will it? please if
someone who has experience with nissans could
help me out and teach me how this setup exactly
works id be very greatly for your help.

Bro it sounds like one of the front sensors are dirty or faulty. Try cleaning them they get dirty and will throw a code.

what sensor are you talking about? also i have absolutely no codes showing on the car. i wish there was a code so i could atleast narrow down where to start looking. at this point i have the car completely off the ground on jack stand trying to figure out which wire to disconnect to stop it from locking the diffs up
