I hope it is as simple as linkage or a solenoid. Many years ago, the same thing happened with my dearly departed 1995 Pathfinder SE. Had to put a rebuilt trans in it. The repair would have been almost as much, so I went with the rebuilt. Until you get yours fixed, be vary aware of how and where you park. Good luck.

I just replaced my 2002 4x4 Nissan Frontiers transmission with a used one, but the reverse nor the high gears work. Should the whole transmission need to be rebuilt or is it possible that something minor can go out on it?
I faced this issue too, i changed my solenoid valve. now its ok. Dont forget to change the transmission fluid in the recommended intervals...
Where did you buy just the solenoid? And whats the name of the solenoid? Thanks
