My car needs help and so do I

Asked by carrie Jul 24, 2020 at 06:09 PM about the 2007 Nissan Sentra S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay long story short had sugar put in my tank.
Dripped the tank and cleaned it out and blew out
my fuel lines. Replaced my spark plugs and o rings
on my injectors and also replace my mass air flow
sensor. Now I'm trying to crank it and when it turns
over the positive battery terminal smokes and I
blew the fuse in the fuse cluster so I replaced that
and it's still smoking. Someone help me please

Does the engine turn over at all? I suspect a bad starter or maybe a seized engine.

Yes the engine is turning over. But then my positive battery terminal starts smoking and I just stop

Make sure the battery connections are clean and tight but I think that either your starter is drawing too much power or maybe you are cranking the engine too long. Have you tried a little starter fluid to get things going?

No I haven't tried starter fluid yet. And I might go get my starter tested tomorrow. I'm trying to bring back a car that I'm not sure can come back. I've never had sugar put in my tank before. I paid for the tank and gas lines to be cleaned out but iI the dont know anyone.
