Cruise control

Asked by GuruZMXK Aug 01, 2018 at 03:49 AM about the 1994 Chevrolet Suburban C1500 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The cruise control on my 1994 suburban will not
maintain speed.  It will engage but then disengage.
It seems to work if you apply pressure to the foot
feed.

Check and change the Break pedal switch. Sometimes the switch will cause the cruise to disengage due to a voltage error. It will send a signal to the ECM that break is being applied when it is not causing the Cruise to disengage.
