My x5 will not pair with any phone via Bluetooth. How do I troubleshoot this?

Asked by Steve Jan 27, 2015 at 12:35 PM about the 2007 BMW X5 3.0si AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have an Apple iPhone and an htc android that will pair with our Jeep, but not with the
BMW system. When the car is started there is a warning chime and a phone symbol with
a slash thru it, and I guess that means there is no communication operatiing. We do not
subscribe to the sat/nav, but we do have "I-drive"

Referring to the owner's manual may be your best bet in fixing the problem. If you don't have a manual one should be available at www.helminc.com
