when I drive and turn my heat on in my g6
GT Pontiac, why does my light come on
saying reduced engine power?  Also I just
got a new alternator.

Have the codes pulled a parts chain store and post them !!!! We aren't mind readers

I just went thru something like this.....check the fuseable link it's connected around the started if im not mistaken...and also check all ur fuses!!!!!
