I have a 2007 Pontiac G6, and I'm trying to replace the radiator.

Sounds like you didn't get the correct radiator for your vehicle. Some radiators for your vehicle come with attachments for the engine oil cooler and transmission cooler.
It's a surge take outlet. It's the right one, so they say
Is this outlet on the radiator neck? If so, it is the feed line to the reservoir tank. Connect the tank line and leave it be. (Make sure the reservoir is filled when adding your fresh coolant.)
