2007 Grand Prix (3.8) 5 codes and Reduced Engine Power

Asked by Vibe0005 Oct 26, 2020 at 10:26 AM about the 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Grand Prix (base model) which will randomly throw about 5
codes (plus a reduced engine power light). Misfire, Throttle body PS and
accelerator PS then two pending codes for the TBPS and APS. I've changed
the APS and it still comes up. When I get reduced engine power light,
whenever I brake the rpms will flutter randomly between 1k rpm and 400rpm
then when i release from the brake it sits at 1k. I don't know what would be
giving me an issue at this time.

To add to that, I haven't looked at the plugs yet but I don't see why i would be havinf issues with the TBPS and APS from plugs

Check wires in Loom above the front valve cover. There’s one wire on bottom side of the loom that the motor contacts and rubs through the wire causes car to act and do exactly what you described.
