Should have shown a pic of the rear end. And they don't put fog lights on the back. Must be a back-up light. Just go to a parts store and show them which light is not working, then they can get you the right bulb to replace with.
have fitted front fog lights fitted fuse and fitted relay.to my 1999 volvo s 80 but they wont work
Use a test light and see where the power ends. Using a test light is real handy for figuring out electrical problems. You need power and a ground plus a circuit for anything to work.
The fog light is an h1 and I am pretty sure the rear light you are looking for is an 1157. FYI it is not a rear fog light itis a loading light.
This is the rear positioning lamp or loading lamp bulb
Not sure where this lady is based but manufactures only fit a rear fog light to one side of a vehicle these days. (right rear for U.K. market) The lens on the opposite side will be a dummy for aesthetics. This will explain why the garage have never 'fixed' the light There isn't one to fix.
DavyS is correct. Both fog lights on in the rear would look to some drivers as if the car were braking, or at least that's the manufacturer's thinking. The 2007 S80 has a plastic molded piece and what looks like an unpunched hole where the light should go in but it is not designed to have two red fog lights in the rear.

2001 s80 t6, same as DavyS and GuruVHHDZ said, mine has 2 fog lights in front and in the rear on the driver's side only is a fog/bad weather light, with the switch being underneath the headlight switch and to the right of the front fog light switch. The rear lens is the same for aesthetics, and on the inside the hole for a bulb just isn't popped out. Then in some foreign markets they dont have to design a new part, the can keep using the same part and simply pop open the bulb hole on the other side of the car.
