CR-V: 2006 vs 2007

Asked by edrake Apr 19, 2016 at 02:26 PM about the 2007 Honda CR-V EX AWD

Question type: General

I seem to find conflicting information regarding whether the third generation has more or less cargo space than the 2/2.5 gen.

Generally, it seems most sources say the 3rd gen has more, but the Consumer Reports review says, "The 2007 redesign brought rounded styling that compromised cargo room and visibility."

I guessing it's a matter of what you're trying to fit in there. Maybe the volume increases, but what you're gaining in say, width, you're losing in height/depth (or whatever applies)...?

Anybody have experience with both and some insight?
