92 Chevy S10

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1992 Chevy S10 4.3L.  Truck starts fine and idles ok.  While driving it down the highway it wants
to spit and sputter so to speak only when I back off of the gas pedal a bit. Obviously this is OBD
1 and I didn't have a scan tool so I jumped the connection on the plug and counted flashes. I was
getting codes 13, 33 and 44. I changed the MAP sensor already and fixing to change the O2
sensor tomorrow. Would a bad O2 sensor cause this?

Little history here.......about 6 months ago I lost the muffler it and never replaced it. Yes it was loud and obnoxious but not too terrible so I left it. Ok.....now about a month ago I was driving to work (12 mile commute) and passed big rig. Got up to around 85 (late for work). I noticed as I was pulling off highway I didn't have power steering. Come to find out my belt tensioner pulley went bad. Lost the pulley completely. Belt wasn't turning. Got a ride home. Next day changed tensioner and belt. Ever since then I've had this problem of it running like this. By the way I also fixed the exhaust. I put a glass pack on it. Lot quieter now. Do you think the rough running is due from bad O2 sensor or maybe catalytic converter issue?

Could be what you're talking about or not. If you lost your tensioner pulley, make sure that no wires/connections or vacuum hoses were disturbed /damaged.
