1993 Chevy Lumina Sedan 4dr 3.1L multiport

Asked by marcus Jan 08, 2018 at 01:22 PM about the 1993 Chevrolet Lumina Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Wife was driving down the road and she
says “engine light and oil lights came on,
them there was a grinding sound as I rolled
to a stop.”  She was maybe going 25 when
this happened, she’d drove 12 miles, 10 of
which were 70mph highway. Best I can tell
it’s not getting any spark now. The engine
is whining, trying to start, but there is no
turnover.

Check the dipstick and see if it has oil in the engine if it don't probably locked up. If it does then your oil pump is gone. Or flywheel came undone it's long process
