Engine light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay so I have a 2007 Mini Cooper
S. The car has 130xxx miles on it
and I have owned it since it had
110xxx. I know nothing of the
previous owner and what had been
replaced on the vehicle and all have
done to the car is replace the clutch
and flywheel. Now I get in it after a 3
hour drive and my engine light is on?
I just had the car scanned and coded
for the new battery 2 days ago any
ideas?
