OBD port in a 2006 pt cruiser

Asked by sherri Nov 05, 2022 at 01:19 PM about the 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited Wagon FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I went to 2 different Auto parts store and
one garage and all of them have said
they couldn't hook the scanner up to the
port because of broken prongs.  Then I
stop and put 30 in the tank and a half of
a quart of oil, then the car just totly quits
on us.  No clicking or anything when we
turned the key.  That was 2 months ago.
And now it's getting electric in the car
and under hood.  We replaced the fuel
pump, ignition switch, and every fuse.  It
would let me crank it all day long, but it
just won't start

Oh btw...I hope my 2006 pt cruiser limited edition isn't in theft mode because we were using a copied key for a couple of months. We went back to using the key fob, and now it's getting lectricity where it's supposed to have it, but it will not start. It will let you crank on it all day long, but it just won't roll over

Still sounds like a security issue to me, have you tried the reset Poe endure listed in the owners manual?

Any codes? Speed sensors, shift solenoids, wiring, computers, busted transmission components inside.
