2006 PT Cruiser wont start

I got in my car this morning she started fine by
time I got to the bottom of the hill it was dead and
now it will crank over but won't start makes a funny
noise

Well, as they say in the hills, "somethin' done broke" and I hate to tell you, the PT will have to get towed to your favorite mechanic- hopefully it is nothing expensive-
