Wipers come on every 6 seconds and make one swipe

I have a 2006 PT and as far as I'm concerned it is almost the perfect car. Has
less than 78,000 miles on it and probably my last car. Last week when I turned
the wipers to the off position they kept going. Is there anything I can do other
than replace the wiper switch? Always like to start with the easy fix first.

Did you make sure the wiper delay is off?
