How many miles do Chrysler Sebring convetibles get before they die.
I have a 2006 Chrysler Sebring convertible. This is a great car and I love it. I have had her since 2009 and have only replaced the alternator, battery, from brake pads, fixed the exhaust and replaced the timing belt and water pump. Its got 135,000 miles on the engine and is still going strong but I am not sure how many miles these sebring convertibles typically get. I know it varies and depends on the car but I am trying to make plans for my future car and save money and all of that. I just don't know if Sebrings are 200,000 cars or more than that. Trying to ascertain how much time I may have. I adore this car and would like to get as much out of it as I can. I was just trying to get a sense of how many miles they typically get.
I agree with Tom, I have an 06 identical to yours, i can't believe 8 years have passed, i replaced front pads/rotors, coolant bleeder valve, tires, but i only have 40K+. The 200 convertible is discontinued, so our replacement options are getting slimmer. Maintenance IS key, my first sebring was a 2000 and had 0 problems. I think those that grouse purchased neglected cars, or did not follow proper maintenance themselves. Isn't it nice have a ride you love, and no car payments!
My 2006 convertible Touring has 258,000 miles and runs great. I need to replaces a few items to be really great.
Just passed 200,000 miles today. I love this car and wish I could buy a new one whenever this one is beyond repair. Chrysler should make the 2004-06 car again with their stronger VVT V-6 in it. That would be a great cross country cruiser. Since new, I have replaced: bleeder housing, starter, alternator, soft top, front lower control arms, front hubs, 1 coil, Passenger window regulator, head lights, spark plugs at 190K, all 4 struts, battery, trunk lift struts twice and replaced tires 5 times now. Other wise an oil change every 4K miles and put in gas. It is a fun to drive comfortable long drive car.

Im looking at at 2006 Chrysler Sebring drop top it only had 42,000 miles on it can y'all please let me know if this is a good car and if anyone had any problems with it
I have a 05 Sebring had it for yrs now the longest car I ever had. Has 129,300 miles on it only had to replace the radiator brakes belt and brakes so far
My 2004 Sebring Convertable crossed 213,000 miles today. It ran fine on a trip from Orlando to Detroit and back. It used two quarts of oil. I was driving it very fast and hard both ways though. I still got 34 mpg on the highway running 75 to 80 mph. I love this car.
I'm so glad to hear all of these endorsements--I just retired and hope to keep driving my 2008 Sebring "Touring" for a couple more years. It's got 145K and still runs great, but the AC stopped working. Should I spend $1200 to get a new compressor? It's been determined that the coolant isn't leaking, so a new compressor is required.
This is so wholesome, thank you guys! Im about to get (in July) a 2010 Sebring convertible in silver with 100k miles from my nana. She's giving it to me for free! What a woman. It has an oil leak that's estimated $1,400 to repair but I really don't care, I can't wait to repair it. I don't know the specifics yet but I will come back to this site when I get it. I'll upload photos and tell you all how it is. Cant wait!
Mine has 188,262 Mi right now. Still going strong. There's no fault codes on the ECU/PCM. All of sensors have tested normal. I have basically rebuilt the entire car and now I got faster than most people Accelerate from a red light to a green light in my whole city. It runs great honestly I thought it would run like crap at 188000 miles, but it still gets up and goes and accelerates pass Dodge Ram pickup trucks when we're both parked at the adjacent lanes and red lights. Sebring is a tank. And the Sebring also has more horsepower than say the 2019 Nissan Versa or one of those other crappy small cars. For what it's worth, this car run the great it can hit a hundred and ten miles an hour, I need to go faster than that, and if you do buy a BMW, but yeah this is awesome I love this car it's still goes well. So so well. I don't want to give this car up at all. I even put a new touch screen stereo deck in the car, install the rear backup camera, have you upgraded everything that I can, and just rebuilt it and it still runs great and I can't wait to race anyone and everyone who challenges me to accelerate from a red light. My sebring bests Dodge Ram pickup trucks. I don't give this car up until the axle drop down. And then I'll take the adventures to new car but the Sebring is a great car keep it if you can and repair it and it will treat you well. Thank you Chrysler.
I have a ‘08 convertible still going strong at 264k!!
I have a 2007 Chrysler Sebring Limited Edition. I bought it brand new after I finished nursing school. It has 199,000 miles on it and still running strong. I get the usually maintenance on it. Since I’ve had it I’ve replaced some spark plugs, timing belt, sensor modules, tires, windshield wipers, my antenna on the outside(normal wear and tear). This year I got my driver seat leather replaced, the headliner redone and a paint job. The most expensive thing that I fixed was the air conditioning system for about $700.00 two years ago. I absolutely love this car. If you take care of it, it will take care of you.
I have a 19997 JXI convertible. Has approx 210K, as the odometer and tach in the cluster, only light up on occasion. The cluster of gauges is a problem in older Sebrings. Mine I've owned since 3 yrs old. It's 25 now!!! Totally rust free. Gold and black, Real gold, not that pale champane! Sharp car. Daily driver!!!!
