Almost have to look at that one, is the drive axle in tack? Solid? Is the rubber boot torn? How do you know you have no drive power?

everything was reinstalled and fits okay. boots not torn and the joint has a new pack of grease. I'm wondering if the splines might be stripped. didn't notice when I put the axle shaft back in. there is no drive power in any of the gears that I shift into. thanks orrinblue

How did you check for drive power? Both front wheels off the ground? Does the other wheel turn when in gear? Ya, I would tear it back apart and inspect the splines, but I wonder if you did not get the shaft seated all the way into the trany, It should snap back in as there is a "c" clip in a groove on the male end that locks it into the trany.
