I have a 2000 Town & Country minivan, with close to 148,000 miles on it. I've had it for less than 1000 of those miles, so I don't have a history to draw on. Lately when I start the car using my key, sometimes, but not always, the panic horn starts blaring. Why would it do this?

Electrical short in column switch or possibly key "fob" (if you have one).

Thank you. I'll look into the column switch solution. Are you referring to the remote entry device when you mentioned the "key 'fob'"? And if so, are you saying there might be an electrical short in it? ... I do carry the remote device in my purse, but only to shut off the panic horn if it goes off. I don't open or close my car using it. Again--thanks for responding!
