Staring

Asked by GuruXMVNW Nov 20, 2018 at 08:13 PM about the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country Touring LWB FWD

Question type: General

My 2006 Chrysler town and country has recently started being hard to start.
Ignition will grind several times and then, generally, start.  So far, I haven't had it
not start.  Sometimes when I put it in gear after it starts, it will die.  My
mechanic put it on his diagnostic machine but no problems showed up.  Any
ideas?

I service it regularly, every 3000-5000 miles. I just had the fuel system cleaned, thinking that might be the problem. A new starter was put on it 2 years ago. I don't think that I have ever had a tune up, though. Stupid question.....Does a tune up replace or check spark plugs?

Replace plugs, wires, cap and rotor if applicable It's also a good time to look at all the other maintenance things you never do like check trans fluid or lubricate door hinges and weatherstripping.
