I for one am very skeptical about that, it's a dang SUV at 145 you best have your affairs in order

Although http://www.topspeed.com/cars/jeep/2007-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8-ar2784.html says 425hp and 0 to 60 in 5.0 so maybeeeee

Hmmm? If the top speed for police cruisers (assuming a State Trooper in a standard issue vehicle...not one in a Dodge Hemi, Mustang, etc) is 124 MPH, how do they handle a high speed chase with a Ducati or another amped up motorcycle that can easily exceed that top speed? Wait for the cycle to run out of gas? Call for a helicopter?? LOL! Wish they would pull over these idiots zipping in between cars at high speed! Grrr!! Sorry ..needed to vent!

Here is what I dug up for you. 2007 has the 6.1 hemi. Slightly modded for SRT vehicles with a 6000 rpm redline with 420 hp and 420 lb-ft at the flywheel. Went to the 6.4 in 2011. There is no speed limiter or govenor. It will accelerate up to 170 mph @ the 6000 rpm rev limiter under certain conditions. 145 mph in that SUV, on a decent road, would be achievable. Going 149 mph in a 1981 K-5 Blazer with 31" Cooper tires and 3 inches of lift is sketchy. Back in my teen days of lets do something stupid today.

Yes, they certainly can go that fast. My 2014 Jeep SRT could easily hit 160mph and that was before I added a supercharger.

Easy hits the 195mph barrier to a stock 180mph jeep srt8 .......Only problem is break the air with a large brick at that speed. LOTS OF PREFORMANCE MODIFY WITH OUT THE NEED OF A SUPERCHARGED.
