Right rear turn signal does not work.

I have a 2001 Buick Century. The brake lights work, however the right rear turn signal does not. I have looked at the schematics and there appears to be only one wire from the multifunction turn switch that does the turn and brake light. Therefore it looks like the only possible culprit is the multifunction switch? What are your thoughts as that is an expensive switch.

First check the turn signal bulb and replace it if it is bad.
The bulb has been changed. The same filament in the bulb is used for brakes and turn signal.
Double check your bulb. Most GM cars use dual filament bulbs - one for the brake one for the turn signal.
Thanks for the response. I have checked. It is a dual element however one for "parking lights" and one for the Brake/Turn.

I had the same problem after checking balls and numerous other things turned out to be the multi- function turn signal switch was getting no power to the right rear blinker
Same problem here, Right turn signal doesn't blink. I turn on the headlight to "parking light, the light is on". Fuse looks good. Any ideas?
