Question type: General
I have a 2005 Buick Lacrosse, there is a key that comes with the car that only unlocks from the outside but will not start the car, it will fit the ignition. I put that key in the ignition, now the ignition will not turn back all the way and cannot get the key out. What do I have to do here?

You have a non programmed key. That's why it won't start the car. Most newer car have chipped keys that need to be programmed to the vehicle. You are using an emergency key for just unlocking the door. As far as the key not coming out are you in park? Is the battery dead?
GOT IT!! Okay, it may be -16 degrees out, battery was dead. Once I stuck jumper cables on,. the horn beeped. I was able to turn the ignition back towards me and pull pass key out. Car is running now!
Oh so you live near me in the Midwest. Its cold but at least its not snowing!LOL I'm glad you got it figured out. Have the battery checked so you don't have to ho through this again.
Thanks for the answer TransAm77, before I saw your answer, I thought to go out and put the jumpers on and see what happens. Those keys look alike.
Its getting traded in on Tuesday, had to make sure it was running at least!! It was sitting for a couple weeks. Yeah it is not snowing today, where I am at, just &^%$ COLD! Snow on the ground though. Sun is shinning though, very deceiving! lol
