Mechanic checked it out and said it needed spark plugs and wirers so we
changed those. The battery was dead so he cleaned the terminals and
jumpstarted it and it was good to go.Three weeks later it's doing the same
thing. The battery meter reads 12.3 on the info center. It was driving fine then
I went out this morning and it won't and hasn't started since it was 15
degrees outside but it got up to 40 so it wasn't that cold.Help

sounds like low voltage, if the battery is over 4 years old.replace it. then see what happens.
I bought it recently and can't tell how old the battery is but will buy one tomorrow and try it out.Thank you.
well I put a new battery in and it's still cranking but not starting,I don't know what to do.
do you have a security light on when you try to start it?
no and sometimes when i let the key go the ignition seems to keep going
that sounds like a ignition switch issue.
Update: Took the car to the shop and found it has blown head gaskets so bad until when the plugs are replaced they get soaked with antifreeze, I just purchased the car from a private seller and apparently he had the oil changed freasley and such til I wouldn't known; no smoking or milky color etc. So I got ripped off of a whole years worth of savings and back to square one'The mechanic says there is no fix just a new engine.
