Where is my blower speed relay???
I have a 91 Buick lesabre. The Blower motor has stopped working. The
blower motor runs with 12v direct from the battery. The Resistor is checked
and working well. The switch in the dashboard is checked and works. The
Fuses are good. NOW... to my understanding, there are two relay's, the high
speed, and the blower speed. The high speed is checked and works. That
leaves the blower speed relay. There is one problem though, WHERE IS IT! I
checked the glove box relay center, relay center on firewall, and the relay
center in front of the air filter. The fire wall center only has two relays, the
high speed relay, and the other I didn't check completely since I replaced it
just in case and still nothing. There are three relays in front of the air filter, all
tested and good. And three in the glove box, tested and good. Therefore it is
not them. I am baffled on where it might be, and why there are only two in
the firewall center. I tried to trace wires, but all hints lead to back deep in the
dashboard around behind the instrument cluster (Which I really hope it is not
there, why it would ever be there I don't know). I would really appreciate if
someone would enlighten me on what is going on whether it would be hints
toward where it is or if it even exists. It is COLD here and I spent about 4
hours looking. The control assembly is manual (lever). Lesabre custom if this
helps. It was running one day and just quit all of a sudden.
