It's a 1994 buick lasabre, replaced alternator and battery, even cleaned the terminals. All I get is a 'click.'

It's not the starter , I had it checked. I forgot to mention this..thx

If you hear click,check the cable,s,not just the end,s,they will corode inside of them,

try the ignition module above the steering column. had that problem about 20 years of use.
