Hook up a scanner and read the codes
I had the same car and the same problem. It turned out to be the master cylinder. Not sure why it messed with the abs light.
worn out break pads, bad sensor or a dirty sensor, you have a sensor at each wheel, check breaks clean sensors ,check for one that may be unhooked at plugin.
i have a hand held code reader but when i hook it up it doesnt work is my buick a 12 pin or 16
did u replace the master cyl.
Yes I did, and that solved the problem...that was 3 years ago. No issues since then.
BAD master cylender, does it fade when you sitting at a stop light, peddle go to floor, check where it connects to booster to see if wetness is under it,do u have to add break fluid to it,also check the rear at inside of back tires for wetness on tires if so bad wheel cylender.
I have a 93 LeSabre and when I got it the abs light was on. Mine was a front wheel bearing. If there is any play in any of the wheel bearings the sensor has trouble reading the wheel speed. I replaced the wheel bearing that had very little play in it and it fixed my problem.
Brakes work fine all new pads wires connected no codes and still have abs light. now what?
Start with this guide. You may want to stop at your local auto parts store and see if they have an ABS scanner. https://www.youcanic.com/wiki/buick-abs-warning-light
