what is the likely reason for car not starting?

turn key to start position ,all dashboard indicator lights light up but when key is  turned to starter engagement  nothing  but a strong click is heard. battery checks out , pulled belt and all pulleys free spin eccept  crank shaft,does thism sound like an electrical relay?>??

the click should be your solenoid, which tells your starter to engage your flywheel and start the car (bad starter can have it checked), also check your contacts are tight
