start I tried to jump it & put a new battery in

Guessing gets expensive doesn't it? And how can I diagnose your problem if I'm way over here on the end of this keyboard- you could always find a good mechanic to look at your car- someone who doesn't just guess what's wrong- might be cheaper that way-

Try doing some simple maintenance things first like check air filter and clean Throttle Body and clean or replace Idle Air Control valve , change fuel filter if have not done so in a while, add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank.

Check the spark and all the components that do that (plugs/wires/coil). Then gas pressure check would help. If there is spark and gas, try a compression test on each cylinder. Beyond that there is so much more it could be. Bad relays to even the engine timing itself.. Hope this helps.
