I got a 1998 Buick Lesabre and I can go under the car &jump start the starter and it will run for 3 seconds &go dead. A lot of guys has been telling me that it's the security system is there anyway I can bypass it or do I need to my car to the dealer?

You may have to take it to a shop, but avoid Dealers, a good mechanic can do almost everything the dealer can, and at half the cost, but with the exception of anti theft/security systems, they have to be reprogrammed

If ur giing to by pass the system try taking it to a local coustomizer or any place that installs them befor u go to a dealer to avoid a crazy price

either that or the crank sensor. are there trouble codes from the computer?
