When I try to start my car the security light comes on and it won't start. Usually by the second try (after waiting til the light goes out) it will start. How do I disconnect or bypass this security system

** ATTEMPT AT YOUR OWN RISK** THIS ANSWER IS PURE THEORY AND FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE ONLY / ALWAYS LET A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL HANDLE ELECTRICAL PROCEDURES...If your experimental go for it I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY MISHAPS...SO FROM THERE You need to find the resistance that's built into your "security chip" on your key 1. Set your VoltMeter to 20k OHMS and see what your resistance is from one side of the pellet to the other 2. Go buy a resistor that matched the amount of the one in your key (i.e if your resistance was 11.801 buy 10,000 ohm (10k,) a 1,000 ohm (1k,) and an 800 ohm resistors together in series to achieve the 11.801k ohm value). 3 Buy 16 gauge speaker wire about 8 inches split in two put/solder the resistors in-between the 2 wires ( i.e wire------10k ohm------I------1k ohm------I------800 ohm------wire) at one end of this add a bullet style male connector and on the other a female style connector4. Find a orange wire under steering column and cut it open 2 wires will be in it on one end at a male adapter on the other a female adapter *bullet style* connect your self made resistor and it should start up.
