Hi i have a 1999 buick lesabre custom and my airbag light will not turn on. i believe the bulb is out and was wondering how to take off the dash.

recently purchased the car and went to go get it inspected and i failed. it was
for a multitude of reasons but one of the reasons was that my airbag light
wouldnt come on. im not sure why. if i recall correctly, my airbag system was
still intact and fine, just the light wasnt coming on. fairly certain it is an issue
with the bulb inside the dash but im not sure how to remove it safely to
change the bulb. any information would be very helpful, thank you

Have you checked the fuse first? There's like 3 related ABS fuses in the fuse boxes alone. A box under the steering column, and another behind the glove box, if I remember right. There might even be more under the hood, knowing GM like I do!

Oh no I haven't. I figured the circuit itself would all be connected to one. BUT, I suppose that doesn't make much sense because then if that one fuse went out it would mean my whole dash would go out and that's bad news bears. Thank you, I will try this out today or tomorrow!

Let me know how it turns out! It's very rare (in fact I've NEVER seen or heard of it!) for that bulb to burn out. I had a shop for 20 years and never came across this in any make of car! Lol
