My vehicle has the battery under the rear passenger seat.
I've been told I need to get a new VENTED  BATTERY soon as mine is old. I
cant even find a "vented battery", online, for my car. Never even heard of
such a thing till today. Ive also been told it will be extremely costly in the
$300 - $400 range. I haul kids around a lot, im a taxi gramma(haul grandkids
a lot)..lol, and I just want to be safe.  Do I really need a vented battery? If so,
where in heck do i get one? Thanks in advance!

Yes you need either a vented battery or an AGM battery that emits no fumes. You don't want sulfuric acid fumes in passenger compartment. Stop by your local Buick dealership for more info.

A little late but the battery size is 78n but you almost always need the premium version, call any place that sells vehicle batteries and let them Know your vehicle year, make and model and they can tell you exactly what battery. I just had to replace mine (04 buick lesabre limited same battery type and location) it was $140 from Walmart and $189 from o’rileys. It’s REALLY expensive for ours but the right size will have the right vent holes and the vent bracket should still be installed under the seat.
