First of all disconnect the negative battery cable and wait five minutes for the airbag system to discharge! Then remove the screws, from the back of the steering wheel, securing the airbag module to the steering wheel. Unplug the airbag module. The airbag module is now unstable and should be handled with caution! Turn the airbag module away from your body and remove it from the vehicle! Place the module on a solid surface right side up away from anything that could be a projectile in the event of an accidental deployment!! Do NOT test the resistance value of the module with a self powered ohmmeter!! Doing so WILL deploy the airbag!! Hope that helps!! Jim
