I have a 2000 buick lesabre and the remote will no longer open the trunk

likely a fuse because the door switch wont open it either but the key will so what fuse and where?

remote unlocks and locks the doors. That was the first thing I tried.

I had the same problem on my Lesabre. It was the small component box located just before the key lock on the trunk lid. Dealer changed it and the problem was fixed.
