Do you have the original master key? And if so, there may still be a problem with the transponder chip in the key, as it seems your ATM is activated and preventing the car from running. Unless there is an actual problem with the ATM or any of its wiring, you may find yourself reprogramming the ATM to accept a new master key which you'll have to purchase. At this point though you should be asking the previous owner you just bought the car from what's up.
I brought car from car dealer they told me to turn key twice to the right and than left to reset, the car runs and drive but it seems like it stalls like its about to cut off, when i drive test we had to jump the battery, i dont know if its a master key but the remote saids number 2 on it, whats a atm
ATM = anti theft module. I'd be suspicious the dealer stuck you with a valet key and not the original "master" transponder key.
I'd be all up in that dealer's business telling them to get this problem sorted. You JUST bought it.

I have 3 keys that came with the buick (2004) lesabre originally .. Two numbered 1 and 2! The second never really worked right. 1 key is red and is the valet key. Lost it years ago.. Key one is the only one that will start and run the car after 10 years of having it.
Dirty_harey but did u hve problems with the alarm

Yes same thing. Light flash horn honks. Car would still drive. It would take 30 seconds or so to get it to shut off..
