how do i reset the "Check Engine soon"light at my 2001 lesabre

Hi

I have a 2001 Buick Lesabre Limited & I want to reset the Check Engine Soon that refer to Emission problem

I don't know how to do this & I will glad to know how

The easiest way to do it for you is disconnect the battery for 20 seconds and reconnect IF the CEL light comes back on the emissions problems still exists. Good Luck

I have the same problem. I went back to the dealer that sold me the car and he said that it was a gas cap issue. I tightened the cap and it went off but, a week later came back on. I will try the battery thing though. I'll let you guys know how I made out.
