The noise you are hearing is probably in the suspension. May need new control arms. They are not super expensive but need special tools to do the job. Now about dying when you turn left....Does it start right back up afterwards? Does it only happen on hard left turns or does it happen even when doing a slow left turn at under 10mph? It seems that you may have a loose electrical connection or an electrical short that only happens on left turns because of perhaps the front wheels hitting something???? or maybe something is loose and moves only on left turns causing a short. Make sure your battery is well secured and inspect the wiring for damage, pinching, etc...
