If you have a P0300 OBD2 (multiple cyl misfiring) code, the ignition control module (ICM) probably needs replacing also. I mistakenly took my 2000 buick lesabre to a garage and they replaced 1 coil pack and the ICM ($750) and got it running fine, for 2 weeks. Then had the same problem. Then I followed some online advice and replaced all 3 coil packs and the ICM ($129 on ebay including the mounting bracket and fixed the problem.

FYI: The coil packs bolt to the ICM. You can get a code reader for $15 on ebay. When a coil fails, it usually takes out the ICM too.
